South Australia’s most famous, if not Australia’s most famous region, Barossa Valley is considered a cool climate region. Situated about one and a half hours by car from Adelaide it is planted predominantly to Shiraz, Grenache and Mataro but if you include Eden Valley in the mix, Riesling is the variety of choice.
