Corcelles Beaujolais 2017, This is all-round an excellent quality Beaujolais in anyone’s book but marry that with its price-point & HELLO! Red fruits, vibrant carbonic notes with sweet beets, cherry spice, plums, raspberries & the freshest tannin grip wrapped up in this harmonious light-bodied red. Again this proves to us just how versatile & appropriate Beaujolais for the Australian climate & it can be matched with just about any food you wish…trust us!”
Rouleur Shiraz 2016 – Loads of flavour. Dark fruits, olive tapenade and all spice, briary stuff…bright and fresh on the palate with a clean finish that persists for minutes after you put the glass down. This is a fine-boned Shiraz from the famous McLaren Vale wine region. Simply put, it makes me happy.
Cosa Nostra Nero d’Avola 2016 – “This 100% Heathcote Nero d’Avola is made using only 10% whole bunches but it shows through beautifully. There’s no oak apparent despite spending more than 12 months in 2. 3 & 4 year old French oak barrels; rather, it’s the fruit shines through from start to finish. Dark plums, herbal tones, raspberry vibes, earthy, sweet stewed plums…a terrific wine from the Santolin’s need to express their need to experiment with different varietals. Serve slightly chilled.”
