More Information

Chateau Gantonnet has it’s vineyards in the Entre-deux-Mers (between two rivers, the Garrone & the Dordogne) region on the eastern edge of the of Bordeaux. The wines from here represent great value for money & are generally early drinking styles. Gantonnet crop much lower than many of their neighbours and concentrate on producing wines that typically over-deliver on quality. A blend of Merlot 70% & Cabernet Franc 30%. A three week maceration followed by running off and pressing. One year in large oak barriques followed by blending before bottling. Aromas of black fruit. Well-structured with rich Christmas cake notes and juicy firm tannins.

Chateau de Cérons is a lovely manor house built in the early 18th century on a terrace overlooking the Garonne River. The château is located across from a beautiful 12th century church. Xavier and Caroline Perronmat took over management of the family estate in 2012. They accepted the challenge of producing wines of the highest quality in one of the least-known, but oldest appellations of Bordeaux: Cérons. Chateau de Cérons has 26 hectares of vines on a plateau with deep gravel soil overlooking the surrounding area.

The 2016 Chateau Cerons Rouge is graceful seamless and very highly seductive. 2016 is a classic vintage, the tannins here are light and the acids keeps the wine at all times fresh & lively. The fruit set is like an iron fist inside a velvet glove brightly displaying dark cherry notes alongside red cherry charm.

Chateau Picque Caillou Rouge

The wines of Chateau Picque Caillou, represent old Bordeaux. They stand for quality and substance they speak of seduction and style, they remain balanced and beguiling.

A blend of 55% Cabernet, 40% Merlot and 5% Petit Verdot aged for 12 months in 40% new Oak. Gravel (Caillou) soils, 22-hectares. Ploughed & maintained without herbicide, hand harvested & hand sorted prior to fermentation.
