The world has gone mad for French Roses. Here’s a neat little 3 pack of roses from the south of France including 2 premium Provencal Roses & 1 bottle of Pays du Gard, a Mediterranean region sitting just west of Provence.
La Belle Pierre Vins de Pays du Gard Rosé 2019 – “This 100% Grenache wine from the Mediterranee IGP region in the south of France (basically Provence) sings with a delightfully dry minerality with a mid palate of strawberries-and-cream that flows on to a finish that has orange skin, white peach, citrus & a fresh minerally appeal. Beautifully Provencal in spirit and so lightly salmon in colour…what more do you want?!”
Love by Leoube Cotes de Provence Rose 2017 – “Romain Ott – Winemaker Chateau Leoube has a very famous surname in the Provence region. FRUITY | WELL BALANCED | GENEROUS | ORGANIC – This is new packaging for Rose du Vallon Tout Simple. It’s pale salmon-pink in colour, this rose wine is a blend of Grenache and Cinsault, completed by a touch of Syrah and Mourvèdre.”
Famille Negrel Nuit Blanche en Provence Rose 2017 – “A blend of Grenache and Cinsault from the oldest grape growing family in Provence. The colour is a deeper rose than the Mas de Cadenet. The nose is rose petals and red fruits, slightly richer aromatics and less minerally than the MdC but it is beautifully creamy. The palate reflects the nose with textural, creaminess and more red fruit sweetness that lingers for some time. Great value.”
