Hughes & Hughes Pinot Noir 2020

This is fruit from the Coal River and Derwent Valleys fermented in small batches in a bunch of different ways. Some whole bunch, some whole berry, lots of experimenting from winemaker Jonathan Hughes to see what works, then finally a blend of the best parts. Lovely and fresh, red berry to blueberry throughout the core, great energy, a delicious glass of wine, tremendous value.

Pooley Wines Pinot Noir 2020

From one of southern Tassie's most loved wine makers. This is brightly structured ... there is some grip on the palate, yes ... overall freshness of fruit, red berries, strawberry tang and plenty of complexity. It retains that Anna Pooley fingerprint, DNA if you will, of polished slickness but this goes a bit deeper than that too. Excellent Pinot!

Anna writes, "Exhibiting bright vibrant red fruit with aromatics that leap from the glass. Primary red fruits dominate the palate with, complex layers of spice, cedar and plum. Fine tannin and acidity draw excellent length giving the palate a truly rewarding finish."
