Bellarmine Sauvignon Blanc 2017

$25.00

It’s sooo fresh and lively with tropical fruit & citrus to the fore. The palate is fresh & squeaky clean showing citrus, grassy hints & fresh green leafy herbs with a red apple flavour that sits in the background. This enters with a clean, light palate weight & leaves through the same door. It would be perfect with shellfish or a summer salad or quite simply as a breezy, fresh glass of white all on its own.

More Information

The Bellarmine Vineyard was established in 2000, with just over 44,000 vines planted across 20 hectares. Some varieties planted were already familiar to the Pemberton region including Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.

A pioneering crop of Riesling was also planted, along with Shiraz and Petit Verdot, a very old grape variety that originated in Bordeaux.

Bellarmine is a 5 Star Winery in Halliday’s Wine Companion

Score: 92 ★★★★ Huon Hooke, The Real Review, Bellarmine Sauvignon Blanc 2017, Pemberton – “For a nearly two-year-old savvy, this is remarkably youthful, with a pale almost colourless complexion, and a lightly grassy, sweaty aroma; the palate intense but delicate, lightweight and fairly dry, but somewhat in its shell at this stage. It’s delicate yet intense,Fresh, with refinement and restraint.” (Screwcap)
