BK Wines “Ovum” Pinot Gris 2019


Made from the same fruit as the Pinot Grigio but picked some 3 weeks later this is Gris all over but with a twist. Exotic, textural, muscular, dry, leesy, crunchy red apples & kiwi fruit, star fruits, pears, skinsy and (as always) lengthy. The fruit is fermented in large egg shaped concrete vats to enable the gentle extraction of tannins and fruit flavours without any bitterness. It then ages on its lees for 10 months prior to bottling to achieve great texture and richness.
