Familia Cassone Torrontes “La Florencia” 2015

Torrontes is so aromatic and Cassone is no exception. The nose is very floral indeed, pretty in fact with a rose petal lift and subtle spices. The palate is somewhat drier than the nose would suggest, floral, pretty, expressive and spicy. Perfect sunny afternoon quaffing.

More Information

The Cassone family settled in Mendoza, Argentina in the 19th century after moving from Piemonte in northern Italy. Grape growing is in their blood.

The majority of the vineyards are ninety years old now and are located in the prime Drummond area of Luján de Cuyo in Southwest Mendoza, 950 metres above sea level. The wines are fermented in their High-tech winery before ageing in French oak barrels. These are wonderful wines that marry modern freshness of fruit with structure and complexity.
