Ambrogio and Giovanni Morellino di Scansano Sangiovese 2020

The 2020 vintage reveals vinous and cherry aromas with delicately ethereal nuances. The taste is balanced with a long, savoury and dry finish. Being from the south of Tuscany this expression of Sangiovese receives more sun & in the winery is handled with less oak. Making it bust out of the glass with crisp red fruits such as cherries & strawberries. Utterly delicious!!

More Information

Made only from Sangiovese grapes, Morellino of Vigne a Porrona is an example of how this grape variety manages to find its right place in Tuscany by absorbing the identity of each area where it is grown. This historic appellation of Maremma gives us a wine with a youthful and fresh character that is distinguished by its vinosity, marked fruity notes and soft tannins

Ambrogio and Giovanni Folonari offer a wealth of territory and traditions. Innovation, creativity, research and respect for diversity are the core values of their long family history. The Folonari family has been making wine since the late eighteenth century.  The property dates back to the 17th century and reflects the Renaissance style of architecture; imposing but elegant, its south-west facing position offers a breathtaking view over the vineyards, olive groves and surrounding hills.
