Moorooduc Estate Pinot Noir 2021

$42.00

Hand harvested, 100% de-stemmed to show off the purity & class of the fruit. 100% wild yeast ferment for complexity the 20 days on skins to develop extra weight & texture. Followed by a natural malolactic ferment in barrel then 100% French oak maturation adding delicious spice & density. No fining or filtering, wishing to keep all of the goodness in the wine, in a natural fashion which allows for a very fine and true expression of beautiful Pinot Noir.

Huon Hookes Wines of the week July 1st 2020

This is the ‘regular’ Moorooduc pinot but it’s outstanding value. (There are three dearer single-vineyard wines). It’s blended from several vineyards in the Moorooduc locality.

Deep colour, the bouquet rich and ripe with dark-chocolate, dark berry, floral and vanilla aromas with a foresty high-note. Velvet-textured, dense, concentrated and fleshy, the aftertaste long-lasting. The mouth-feel is a feature. An impressive wine. (Screwcap)

Score: 95 ★★★★★
