The Adelaide hills wine region stretches from just south of the high Eden Valley southward to just east of Adelaide. Some 70km long, this narrow band of approximately 80 wineries ranges from sea level closer to Adelaide to a maximum altitude of 650 meters in the Mt Lofty ranges. It’s a diverse, cool climate region that has seen quite a resurgence of artisanal wine makers since 2010.
