Fi & Col Sheppard established Flaxman Wines in 2004 when they purchased the vineyard, made the vine-change and moved across from Melbourne. The vineyard sits in the very beautiful and picturesque Eden Valley in the Barossa and includes  2.5 acres of Shiraz and 1/2 acre of Semillon, all planted in 1929. Small parcels of Grenache, Mataro, Chardonnay and Cabernet are also purchased to broaden the line-up of wines on offer. The grapes are hand-picked each year and visitors can observe the wine-making process first hand during vintage.
