Winery notes: "This wine is made from specially selected fruit from Hugh and Isabelle Robinson’s vineyard on the Old Moorooduc Road. Our single vineyard Estate wines celebrate the individual character of certain special sites around the Moorooduc area. Bright garnet in colour, this wine has delightfully pure fruited red cherry aromas, a touch of dark cocoa and a savoury sweet note of deliciously cured pork/jamon. On the palate, firm tannins and tangy cherry and pomegranate fruit are elegantly balanced with the acid. Less floral than previous Robinson pinots, but with a touch more savoury complexity, and a lovely silky and long finish.

Jason Schwarz is from an old Barossan family they have a deep understanding of the fruit that captures the essence of this great region Barossa. Leads with a nose of ripe raspberry and blood plums, dark chocolate and cherry ripe. ”I hope my wines speak to you in the glass and tell the story of my life in the Barossa. My winemaking style is purposely low intervention, I like the fruit to speak for itself, and I hope you will agree.” Jason Schwarz.

Once again, Alex Head has smashed it out of the park! This is bold, powerful & full-bodied Barossa but it is by now means a fat Shiraz. From a single site in Stonewell, there's genuine elegance here, perfume, restraint and balance of fruit and oak and tannins. Bright red and black fruits, plummy with raspberry, cassis and fleshiness with a cool length. Excellently made.

95 Points, James Halliday 2020 Wine Companion, "Hatherleigh Pinot Noir 2015 (14%, screwcap). Some development of the mid garnet hue. A flicker and cherries and pips, wood char and spice as it heads into more savoury territory. Medium bodied yet decisive. Grippy Tannins, somewhat terse, but some sweet fruit coming through. It ends up refreshing and convincing.

This dry Riesling from the Murrumbateman region is classified as a Canberra district wine. This, the 43rd vintage of this wine from an Australian Riesling legend is a brilliant snap-shot of vintage 2019.

2017 celebrates the 10th anniversary of Swaby. There's terrific line and length here with crispness and elegance. It hits the nose with just the slightest waft of gunsmoke/struck match then opens to citrussy, white peach, honey dew melon and leesy creamery. The palate is fresh (this is all high notes), clean and complex. Citrus, pithy textural elements sit amongst nutty leesy bits and white peach flavours, pear, fresh green apples and just a touch of oaky texture rather than flavour. The length is excellent.
